I once met a person who boasted about his listening skills. He told me that he was an active and empathetic listener – but he couldn’t remember people’s names.

As many of you know, Step 1 in remembering names is “Look and listen.” Can you remember names?  It may be an indication of your listening skills.

In How to Win Friends & Influence People, Dale Carnegie wrote:

Remember that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
